Yesterday evening was the Vancovuer Masquerade Ball hosted at the Heritage Hall on Main St. Considering the weather sucked, a decent amount of people showed up. I was there doing photography by donation. The crowd came dressed to impress and everyone brought an awesome attitude and a fun time.

I got in about an hour of photography before my batteries on my flash died. I thought I had spare batteries with me, but I didn't realize I was already using them. Lesson learned I guess... double check for spare batteries. Considering this was the first event I've done photography for I was happy with the response from the guests. A fair number of prints were purchased before I had to pack up.

I would like to thank Louisa and Dwight and all the other people who helped organize and run this event. I hope it happens again and I'd love to do photography for it, this time with spare batteries.

I'm taking pictures everyday again, the weather has gotten really nice giving me more options for my daily photo. The Day 9 photo was taken using my iPhone 4 as I forgot my battery for my 5D Mark II on the charger at home. Still not to bad for quality.

So I kinda fell off the bandwagon of the dailly photo thing. I took this photo a few days ago, but it's been sitting on my memory card in my camera since. I have been a little tied up with life stuff and haven't taken any photo's in the last couple of days. I'm hoping this weekend to jump back on to the project. I have night with friends today that I've been looking forward to, going to take my camera and hopefully capture a few good shots I can share.

Was walking home from work and there was a huge murder of crows perching in the tree's to either side of the road. This one tree only had 3 birds in it, which I thought was odd considering the rest of the tree's all had 20+ in them. I snapped a few shots, and this time the image turned out exactly as I had envisioned it in my head. Found a neat poem to go with the picture.

I went for almost a two hour walk yesterday, just me and my camera. The sun was shining, and though not warm, there was no breeze so if you just stood there the sun warmed you quite nicely. I took quite a few photo's, and most of them did not turn out as well as I'd envisioned them in my head while snapping them, but I guess that's the point of all of this, isn't it?
